Omar Mouallem is a story consultant and multimedia producer working across all nonfiction media. He has written for such publications as The New Yorker and Rolling Stone, created award-winning documentaries and authored several bestselling books, including How Muslims Shaped the Americas, winner of the 2022 Wilfrid Eggleston Award for Nonfiction. Other honours include nominations from the James Beard Media Award for Best Documentary and Editor of the Year from the National Magazine Awards. He’s the founder of Haq Story Studio + School (formerly Pandemic University), a nonfiction production company and education centre in Edmonton.
